Lisa Wright is a (mostly) retired professional dog trainer with over 30 years experience, and was a pioneer in the pet dog training industry. While working with the public to help train their companions, Lisa developed many innovative techniques and shared these techniques with other trainers throughout North America.
Lisa is the past President of the Canadian Border Collie Association and past vice president of the APDT. She has been handling and training stock dogs for almost 20 years
Before getting bit by the herding bug, her dogs had numerous titles and wins in conformation, obedience, flyball, agility and all breed herding.
These days, Lisa and her dogs are multi-USBCHA Open trial winners, Canadian Championship double lift finalists, Calgary Stampede finalists and Meeker semi-finalists.
Lisa lives in Athabasca county, Alberta and shares her home with her husband Travis, a growing number of sheep, and a small pack of dogs who work along side her on a daily basis - be it helping with sheep or with clients and their dogs.
